Gr

JACKIE McGUINNESS:

I'm so sorry to hear about Marilyn, and if I could be at the church I would. Of course, I will be there in thought, sending my condolences to her family.

May her star shine long & bright, guiding rescuers and those in need of rescue to a safe haven.

Gr

SUE FORRESTER:

I was so saddened to read your posts announcing Marilyn's death. Although I did not 'know' her other than from her own contributions to the lists now and again, it was always a pleasure to send and receive her cards at Christmas time, and I know of her deep and abiding committment to Rescue. I remember her beloved Penny, and her adoption more recently of Maggie Mae, and her unswerving devotion to Rescue. She will be remembered in many hearts and many homes always.

Please would you give my heartfelt sympathy to Don, and a special nose kiss to Maggie Mae, and for all who loved Marilyn, may I also send my sympathies for this great loss.

The many people whose hearts she has touched will feel, as I do, that the Airedale world - indeed the world itself - has been so much the richer for her life, and her spirit will surely continue to lead us always in the direction of what is right. We can all make a difference to and for others in the course of our own lives, and with certainty that can be said about Marilyn.

She joins a great band of wonderful Airespirits, and those who have gone before will be preparing a grand welcome for a remarkable and courageous lady.

With my sympathy to you all, who have farewelled a true and dear friend - and greatest of all, a champion of our beloved Airedales.

Gr

JADIE DAVIS:

Gr

PAULA:

Oh, my . . . how sad. I am so sorry to hear this. She will be missed!

Gr

MARTI TOUCHSTONE:

How tragic for us and for the lost Airedales of North Texas. How joyful for one Penny Doudt, and many others, waiting at The Bridge.

Gr

ELLANA LIVERMORE:

Marilyn added much love to the world by working with the discarded & lost Airedales that came her way. She could see the good dog inside of a troubled, sick & frightened Airedale. Every Airedale she helped place in a new loving home is a living memorial to her.

Her other living memorial will be the countless women who will benefit from Marilyn's willingness to participate in various experimental treatments for metastatic breast cancer. The knowledge gained by the medical community will benefit all of us who have been touched by breast & other cancers.

Rest in peace, Marilyn.

Gr

MARE MOORE:

While I did not know Marilyn personally, I was aware of her reputation in the world of Airedale rescue so I have no doubt that overall, the Airedale community is reeling from this tremendous loss. What a world this could be were there more people like Marilyn in it.

We send our deepest sympathies & prayers to Marilyn's family & friends. May their happy memories of her help to guide them through this difficult time.

Gr

SIDNEY HARDIE, Southwest Airedale Terrier Rescue:

Marilyn Doudt was a true terrier. I watched with wonder & admiration as she fought the terrible beast within her just as ferociously as she fought for the welfare of her beloved Airedales. Although she lost this battle, her spirit is still with us and we honor her by continuing our work on behalf of Airedales in need.

Gr

JEANNE COMBO & THE DESERT'DALES, LILLY & SAM:

As angels and Airedales keep their watch up there,
Please, God, just let Marilyn be aware
That we down here do not forget,
How loved she was; how many Airedales are forever in her debt.
