. . . showing the new wedding rings Tom had specially made for their 25th wedding aniversary;
they are gold platinum, paladium and a diamond.

Here's the gang off for a few pre-dinner drinks.
The captain and senior officers host a cocktail night
and guests are invited along. Not everyone gets an invite,
so we were quite lucky . . . it was Tom's doing . . .
he could get a piece at anybody's door.

As an aside, on 16 July, Jackie writes:

Tom got carried away with the pirate idea
and came home the other day sporting a
diamond stud in a newly-pierced ear.

Jackie's initial response was,
"Not what you expect a Sgt Major to be wearing."

Jackie & Tom went owling on 28 July,
and she was able to take this lovely picture of Tom in his
Sir Terry Pratchett hat, the Harry Potter owl & the diamond stud.

This particular rehabilitation centre did provide the owls for one of the Harry Potter movies.

Meanwhile, back on the cruise . . .

I challenged Tom to a game of table tennis.
He beat me 21 to 9 and ran me all over the deck.
