Other info:  Milo is Otis's younger brother. Otis took over from day one and trained Milo and taught him many things. When Milo discovered something for the first time by himself, it was a very big thing to Milo. This was his very first day at the beach. He was so excited he wanted to do everything at once. After romping in the sand, he found a big stick. He was busy chewing away, when all of a sudden a wave rolled in. He sat up in total awe. "What's that??" Milo is very expressive. So many things happening so fast, things to look at, chew, investigate!!

To me, some rescue dogs must feel that way, especially dogs like Piper, that spent the first part of their life in a crate. Everything must be a new experience to them. It is so wonderful to see them get that "new beginning".
