CURRAN
(of RagTail fame)

SCOTLAND

Curran

Like so many other people who had to have an Airedale, I learned to walk using the "Big Dog On Wheels", as I called him. They were made in the early 50's by a company called "Pedigree" who were just around the corner to where I lived, in Wimbledon. They later transferred to Northern Ireland and also produced dogs on wheels under the trade name of "Lines". The dog is made with mohair fabric and wood fill, so is very firm to the touch. The strange thing is, these dogs SMELL like airedales!! I call this one "Nelson", because he only has one eye.
