Angel is adjusting well in Atlantic Beach.
We are practicing "sit" and "stay."
Hard to make good photos when she wants to follow me everywhere.
Her barking has subsided a lot!
And we have seen no snapping in the past three days. All great.
She has had a loose stool, but cleared up when she had some Pepcid.
She seems pretty calm. Part of that success is getting her outside
to walk and making she she is a bit tired. She navigates stairs.
I set her down to hang up leashes when we returned from a walk
and she charged up the stairs with JB.
I still protect the stairs because I don't want to chance her falling down.
She does like car rides! Today we had a little outing at the local park.
It I don't watch carefully, she will roll her neck in smelly stuff.
I have been watching very carefully. ha!
She does try to eat other critter poop on our walks.
Maybe she ate that. Poop good today.
NEAL SKRENES:
Good news. She is looking more like a Westie, don't you think?
JACKIE IKE:
This makes my heart SMILE BIG!!!!!
Thank you, Peggy; you are a wonderful dog mom.
PATRICIA YARNOT:
Look how happy she is with JB!
She looks settled and happy with you.
I'm sure she is basking in the light of you and JB.
Her very own family! This makes my heart smile.

Angel is very smart little girl. She bounds up and down stairs!
Barking diminishing. Wishing snapping would. JB still tiptoes around her.
Other pets tip toe around her. Working to correct. Hopefully that is possible.
She was a one-dog show, for sure. I think it just takes time.
Ms. Angel (a/k/a pistol pete) is doing fine.
She knows her way around town and other pups on walks.
She is a perfectly-potty-trained Westie.
She is always polite to other dogs that we greet on our walks.
Her barking continues to get better.
We are still working hard on her snapping at JB
or other dogs that visit our home.
Her appetite is good and she loves treats.
JB is talking back to me because I made him lie and stay.
You can see how black and nice her skin is.
We have not been back to my vet yet, as Angel's health seems great.
There is more color in her gums and no evidence of any health issues.
She bounds up and down stairs - what??? vision issues? ha!
We have elevated food and water bowls to help with the collapsing trachea.
She shows no sign of struggle in eating or chewing.
JACKIE IKE:
Peggy, I am so glad things are working out and
they both are enjoying life the way they should.
Hope Angel has given JB some comfort by
not being alone in his doggie world.
The picture is beautiful and tells a lot!

Dear Andréa,
Thanks so much for taking care of me when I was sick.
My new Mom has lots of puppy beds and my soft little body fits just right.
I am feeling good, running up and down steps,
playing with squeaky toys, eating my meals in one second or less
and am very good at house training. The puppy door has
a heavier door flap and we are practicing using it.
I sure wish they would just leave it open!!
Hugs, Angel

[To stop the snapping], I am touching her nose with my finger
and making a hissing sound, and making her lie down and "relax."
That prevents the snapping and the barking.
She is getting better at the barking.
Snapping occurs when there is treat or toy involved.
I put her in "time out" and make her watch me play with JB and toy.
JB still tiptoeing around her.
ELAINE ALGER:
What a nice story. Sounds like Angel has found her special place.
