BABY

16 NOVEMBER 2006

Shell Lewis, VP of Foster Homes for CRUSA,
writes to Andréa:

I have a dog coming in from Kalamazoo, Michigan. Here's her story:

She came from a mill in St. Louis.
As a new pup, she was stepped on
by the breeder and her hind
legs don't work.

He was going to have her destroyed,
but a local woman found out
about her and took her in.

Ph

Eventually, she gave her to the current owner who has had her about a year.
She just moved to Kalamazoo for a job and the job ended up
"going away" and now she has no finances,
is losing her apartment and has decided to relinquish Baby to us.

Baby is sweet, good-natured, happy, loves other dogs,
likes kids & cats, and I understand that she's a
demon on those front legs of hers. She is "mostly housebroken",
but sometimes she doesn't make it out the door for "poopy".

This dog is tugging at my heartstrings and I WILL find a place for her,
so it's totally up to you. When I saw the diaper,
I thought of you, though.

Ph

Andréa, realizing how bending down to diaper yet ANOTHER dog
would do wonders for her waistline, said, of course we'll take her in.
Thus began plans to have her transported to the Chicago area . . . .
