I assume that she was able to
"grind" down her beak,
or the extra growth simply fell off.
Now the question was:
Will the feathers grow back?

As cardinals mate for life,
this little lady has a good chance
of raising several broods in her lifetime,
however long that will be.
I've tried to spot her again,
but if her feathers and her crown
have grown out, she is now indistinguishable
from the many cardinals who
who come here to dine every day.
