VINNIE (f/k/a CARL) AT HOME 20 & 24 NOVEMBER 2014
Colleen writes: Carl came to CRUSA from a hoarding situation. He was unaltered, untrained, uncared-for and unhealthy. After a short quarantine for health reasons, Carl was transported to his foster home in Milwaukee where his personality blossomed.
He is missing part of his right ear; he is a precocious & bold little guy and the name, Carl, just didn't fit him. With some help from his foster mom's friends, Carl was renamed Vincent Van Gogh or Vinnie for short. Vinnie is a small dog with a big attitude! He is extremely loving and very quickly bonded closely with his foster mom. He would rather be right next to her than anywhere else in the house. Vinnie is very smart, learning his name in a matter of days and mastering the climb down and up the stairs to and from the doggie door to let himself out to go potty in less than a week! Vinnie is now housebroken, healthier and is learning how to walk on a leash and to sit & stay. SEE VINNIE IN ACTION HERE & HERE
A few days later: Vinnie is doing really well. House training is good; he is good with other dogs, loves lap sitting and kids.
We have gotten him over his food possessiveness and he sleeps quietly through the night in a dog bed next to my bed. He is a really super boy!
