Maddy is doing pretty well. She had her dental done last Friday and had two teeth pulled, which was WAY fewer than we thought! She was pretty alert when I picked her up, although her hair was a MESS!! She came home with antibiotics, pain medicine, mouth rinse and toothbrush and paste. The vet said she did well and came through it with flying colors. She will have to have her teeth brushed from now on, as she has some receding gums, but the vet said the brushing will help stimulate the gums and prevent any further receding.

She lay on the couch for quite awhile, but actually tried to get a toy and chew on it! She's never done that before! She slept VERY hard that night - snored like crazy - but woke up the next morning and ate pretty well. Her breath is finally smelling pretty good and I can tell she feels much better.

She sleeps on the couch all night long, but when I come down the hallway in the morning, she is up on the arm of the couch looking for me with her tail wagging. She comes out of her crate willingly. She does run right in there after coming in from outside, but comes right back out and follows the pack upstairs - and makes a beeline for the couch!

She is really a sweetheart and, while still a bit skittish, she's come a long way from when BJ (the volunteer) brought her in the house.
