BUDDY GOES TO THE VET
29 JUNE 2016

Buddy spent a very restless half hour or so when we all went to bed last night,
but he finally crashed somewhere in my room. He did NOT like
having me put piddlepants on him, but I managed; they were dry in the morning.

He ate breakfast, including his canned pumpkin and fish oil capsule,
like a champ. and pooped for me so I could bring in a fecal sample.

Service Dog SweeTea came along for moral support . . .

Actually, she came along because we were going to breakfast
after bringing Buddy to the groomer, after his vet visit.
(Your turn is coming next week, Little One!)

Dr. Hathaway received kisses.

In general, for his age, Buddy is in
pretty good condition;
no heart murmur,
lungs sound good,
skin is healthy.
Athritis is perhaps taking its toll,
so keeping him a little underweight
will be my goal.

One eye had inflammation, so we
don't know if the dry eye IS actually
dry eye, or a skewed test result
due to the inflammation, so we are
taking care of that first.
Also Dasquin for his arthritis.

The bad news is that he is deaf.
So I don't have to come up with
another name, 'cause he can't
hear it anyway. He will certainly be a
challenge to both praise & discipline.

It was at this point that Buddy decided he'd had enough
poking, prodding & confinement and began to struggle a bit.

His fecal sample was completely free of parasites:
blood test and urinalysis results will be coming later.

Buddy's dental is scheduled for 17 August; he has two fractured teeth and some tartar.
