Scott Lubert left Kenosha, Wisconsin at midnight Saturday, stopped to catch an hour of sleep and arrived in Waynesville around 9 a.m.
He dropped off Lilly with first-time foster parents Vanessa & José Vasquez in Champaign, Illinois, then continued north to Chicago, where I met him off the tollway. I picked up Daffodil, Iris & two pups, Wee Jock (named by Linda Savage) & Truman (Mildred's boy). I then dropped off Daffodil at Hannah Sampson's and let all the dogs out in the backyard for some much-needed R&R.
