Called the vet this morning. Ceelee is still not eating. Went to see her yesterday. She is so pitiful. BJ & I got some food down her with a syringe and she didn't want any part of it. They are giving her fluids.

We are on our way to Bowling Green, Kentucky to take Bella Rose to her new owners. Will go see Ceelee later today when we get back.

Later that evening, BJ writes:

Ceelee is not improving. Her color is pale, PCV red cells have dropped some; vomited at 5 a.m., not perky, may have fluid in abdomen. One kidney looks bigger than it should. Doc is checking clotting times, she is not well at all. I am at my wits' end. I am thinking it may be time to send her to The Bridge if the clotting time isn't good, I don't want her to be in pain. She has no energy whatsoever. I hold Jesse (he's about her size & color) and just cry. Please pray for our baby.

Her vet care cost is almost $3000.00 so far.

On 10 October, BJ writes:

I went to see Ceelee this morning; I had full intention of sending Miss Ceelee to the bridge. Dr. Estill said that Ceelee had tried to poop and something was coming out that looked like a rope or something. So, she was given a barium enema and she finally went to the potty and out came what looked like a five inch long, one inch wide piece of leather. (They were going to save it, but it smelled so bad they had to throw it away outside.) Dr. Estill said it had been in her for a while.

I went to see her around 6 p.m. and she looked like she had been doing crack cocaine. Dr. Estill said Ceelee was doing a little better, moving around more and all the barium isn't out of her yet, so who knows if there is anything else in there.

Please everyone, I need your prayers, but we need donations for Ceelee's care. The bill is almost $3000 so far and we cannot continue to take care of her if we don't have the donations. Ask your friends, family, strangers for donations. Thank you for caring.

KELSEY, DUGAN & LOGAN CHIAFFITELLA:
The Jersey Crew has emptied its treat jars and donated toward Ceelee's medical expenses; our Mom worries so much about her and prays very hard for her recovery . . . woof, woof, woof.

SHELLY SIMINSKI:
Come on, everybody, give, no matter how small an amount! You're in my prayers, you little sweetie! Hang in there!! Don't give up, guys; we can't quit now!!!
