Hi all - we have internet briefly.
Neal is having a hard time getting emails out, but we are here!!

Andréa asks:
Just where is 'here'?

6:52 p.m., Cheryl writes:
We are at the Gardens. Smooth & sunny until about an hour ago,
then a bit of rain. Now out sitting on the deck waiting for dinner. All is good!

1 September, 5:27 a.m., Neal writes:
Six dives with Caribbean reef sharks, silky sharks and a great big grouper.

The boat is only half sold out; we are living like kings & queens!
The food is fantastic; the staff is very gracious.

Billy is a great roommate & dive buddy.
This group is like traveling with TEAM MANTA: lots of laughing & kidding.
We picked up a solo female and two men from California
to fill out our half of the boat.

I have a silky shark tooth from the sharks that I swam and
photographed within arm's reach, to add to my collection.
Second dive I was within touching distance
of a half dozen silky sharks 7 to 9 feet long!

CUBA

After sheltering in the bay where the floating hotel, Tortuga,
is moored, Erika's weather has passed.

[CLICK ON THE PHOTO FOR MORE INFORMATION ON TORTUGA]
This morning, while we are on our first dive,
the Avalon will be moved to a new location closer to our dive sites.

Saw practically every historic spot in Old Habana and rode in two taxis
that were a '51 Chevy, and a '57 Mercury!

Not enough bandwidth to even attempt to send a photo.
