DAISY2LEGS' X-RAYS

29 AUGUST 2012

Our new vet, Dr. William Carlisle -
whom I already credit with saving RosieVi the Shy's life
and Chrissi-One-Eye's ears -
met Daisy for the first time several months ago,
and indicated he would like x-rays of her poor little body.

Knowing that his speciality is orthopedic surgery and,
as he often told me while doctoring Rosie,
he "likes a challenge,"
I told him we were NOT interested in having surgery on her . . .
at her age (seven years this November),
and as she was stepped on when she was just a puppy,
trying to "fix her up" at this stage of her life would not
be something we'd want to put her through.

This is the dog that has brought home a 'possum, birds, rabbits
(baby & adult), and is the alpha of the Skrenninger Six-Pack
She is doing perfectly fine as she is.

So when Daisy & Luuceee went in for dentals,
I gave permission to have Daisy x-rayed while she was under.

Here are the results.
First, PELVIS & SPINE

You can see how mangled & fused her joints & bones are.
Dr. C agreed with us . . . no surgery could set this right.
We have to begin giving her massages (which she will LOVE)
and glucosamine/chondroitin, which I began, too.
