CAPE TRIBULATION

On another day, we drove right up the coast to Cape Tribulation; of course still somewhat south of Cooktown . . . that had been on the agenda but we ran out of days. The coast is similar all the way to these shots as you would remember.

I was unaware, till I heard someone else talking, that the island you can see in the left of the photo [Snapper Island] was, in fact, the island off which Steve Irwin was swimming, when he died. It made it rather sad . . . . [Read my tribute to Steve Irwin HERE].

The river mouth you can see is the Daintree River mouth,
very crocodile-y. You would NOT swim there for anything.
