Quasi-razordale
As of Sunday, I have a new addition to the household. His name is Fuzzy and he is a four-year-old WFT [Wire Fox Terrier] male. Harriet, Nell & Starr are teaching him how to behave. He came from a home where there was a very young child and they didn't have time for him anymore. Apparently they tried to have him live outdoors and that didn't work too well. He was on a local rescue group website and had been for months. I kept looking at him while I was helping a co-worker find another Golden Retriever after theirs died last fall. Finally, I just called and the rest is history.

Don't you just love how these Airedales can deal with other dogs? He initially tried to pick fights with the girls and later I found out that he had beaten up two Labs at his other home. Mine just put him in his place when he got out of line but never hurt him. He already follows Nell around and she mothers him. There is a lot of terrier play here which he is learning to enjoy so he fits right in although he's going to have to work on the bitey-face a bit.
Fuzzy came in trying to run the show. Monday morning after breakfast, Harriet had picked up a toy and was playing with it. Fuzzy grabbed it and began to tug. His growls got louder and he was going to show her he meant business. After a noisy growl, Starr ran up to him. Her favorite play activity is to lift up another dog's earflap with her nose and then bignosepoke them in the ear. Often she will bark at the same time. She did this to Fuzzy and he got a shocked look on his face and immediately dropped the toy!
