A smaller plane takes us from Miami to San Pedro Sula,
the capital of Honduras

On Saturday evening, Neal writes:

We got here about 4:30 p.m. Utila time, 5:30 p.m. your time.
It was a real adventure;
the resort has its own ten-passenger twin prop aircraft.

Why, you might ask,
is Neal sporting
the Roy Orbison look?
He had cataract
surgery in February;
the right glasses lens
is not prescription
AND it is not photogray.
So, when he is outside,
one lens becomes dark;
the other stays clear.
He looks like a pirate
when he comes inside.
(Not only does it look funny;
it's annoying to look through
two differently-colored lenses)

And this is what the plane looks like on the other side . . .

On this plane, everybody had to flap their arms and jump up at the same time
to get it off the ground . . .

Due to weight distribution on the ten-passenger plane,
the "big boys" got to sit up front.
Carson was given the right-hand seat although he's not a pilot.

Ph

I was seated directly behind the pilot.

The final leg of the journey is by boat;
we had to ferry over in two groups.

Carson the Boatman seems to be enjoying Neal's "look".
(Now he knows what Santa Claus looks like, off-season.)

We'll have dinner soon.
Breakfast at 7 a.m. tomorrow; first dive after dive briefing
and weight hand-out about 9 a.m.
