DIVE! DIVE! DIVE!

SUNDAY, 23 MARCH 2014

Josh the DM (Dive Master) from Utila Lodge is working here now.
It was like old home week last night when he walked in to say hello.

Brian forgot the O-rings for his strobe so he's upset.
Maybe he can rent one.

Well breakfast in a few minutes so I'll send this off and write more later today.

But first, a "canine fix" . . . poor dog plays with unripe coconuts . . .

Ph

Pearl sez: It may only be a coconut, but it's MY coconut!

Ten minutes to dive . . .

On the first dive of the week,
everybody sorts out their proper weights (lead) to carry.

Ph

This is usually done over a sandy patch or in a dead/dying reef patch.

I'm having some internet problems . . . can't connect from the room and
30 or 40 people all want to use the internet at the same time at the club house.

I slept quite soundly - didn't need the A/C,
as there's a nice breeze and we're on a spit of land
along the edge of the lagoon. No noseeums.
Sandflies have bitten up a couple of our crew,
but so far they've not bothered me.

I did four dives today.

Weather and water were beautiful.
No whale sharks;
it's way too windy for them.
Did not see many lion fish
(that's a good thing);
saw one small and
one about a foot long.

Dive group is a lot of fun.
Carson Wilkinson is my dive buddy & room mate
and the "boat man" in Mimi's picture;
we seem to be working ok.
