I'M NEVER GOING
OUT THERE AGAIN!

On 19 May, Heather writes:

He is a big handsome boy! My largest belly band hardly fits him.
He is bouncy for his age, but has bad back legs that give way occasionally
and he struggles with just the two steps into the garage.
I think losing a couple of pounds may help him,
but I can tell already he likes food; every time we are in the kitchen, he is there.

Ph

Bath time wasn't too bad today

He was smelly; I think a lot of it is his mouth,
but he had a bath which he handled like a gentleman,
He has pretty bad dandruff, but hopefully with good food that will get better.

He is such a sweet boy. I have an appointment with my vet tomorrow
to get an initial assessment of him. I am worried about his excessive panting.
The dental I will probably get done at the Humane Society,
as they offer good rescue discounts and my vet doesn't.

He is trying to play with Rowdy and he is bouncy in spite of
his back legs bothering him. Charlie (CRUSA alum) was a little shy at first,
but is fine now and tried to get him to play in the snow this morning.

We had a good night's rest with some panting waking us all up;
Jacapo went straight into his crate - such a good boy-
and loved his memory foam mattress so much didn't want to get up this morning . . .

Ph

I think I will sleep in today

. . . he doesn't understand us early birds.
Charlie stood watch until he roused at 9 a.m. looking for breakfast.

Ph

Charlie says, Get up! You're gonna miss breakfast!

All in all he is a pleasure to have around;
the cat has investigated him while he was sleeping in his crate,
but no face-to-face yet; that will be on the cat's terms.

I will let you know what the vet has to say.

MAUREEN SCOTT
in CANADA:
Bet he thinks he's died and gone to heaven! Bless you all......

Anim

MARSHA AARONS:
Thanks, Heather, for taking in another old boy and giving him another chance. He is a good-looking senior. Thanks to CRUSA for taking him in.

Anim

BJ ISAACS:
I just want to slap people. I would give anything to have my baby girl, Bonnie Mae, with me now.

Anim

PATRICIA YARNOT:
Bet the little guy is resting comfortably. I'm sure he can tell the difference in his environment. Finally love and security.

Anim

JEAN LAWSON:
He's a cutie, seems sweet, so thankful for all those helping our little friends in need!

Anim

TRACIE COTTON:
Probably the best night's sleep he''s had in a long time . . . feeling safe and loved. That''s why he didn't want to get up!
