	Marilyn writes: Katie really wanted to join in the fun at PUPPY BOWL IX, but just couldn't find those puppies . . .
. . . no matter where she looked . . . Are the puppies in the closet???	. . . or how much she barked . . .
. . . so she finally went off to play with her toys by herself. Frosty rarely plays with her, but she knows how to amuse herself. She spends most of her day carrying her babies back & forth between rooms and arranging them in her little beds. Sometimes she barks & growls & shakes them furiously; other times, she lovingly places each one in the bed next to the others. It is so great to finally have a dog who plays - it has been a long time. Every time I go to the store, I buy her a toy! She checks all my bags when I come home. She has had just a couple of challenges since we got her - one is leash walking, but that is improving now that we hook the leash on the front ring of her harness rather than at her neck. She was also challenging Frosty from time to time, but we have been very firm with her (thanks for the great advice, Shannon Radosevich & Jen Guthrie!) and stop any potential altercations by reading the signs before the actual fight occurs. She is VERY smart and learns so quickly; Frosty has finally been sticking up for himself a bit, so I think we are on our way. Thanks to Keith Hembrey for the great job you did fostering her.
