LOGAN IN VIRGINIA

8 JUNE 2017

Ph

On 1 June, Cathy Biersack of
ATRVA (AIREDALE TERRIER
RESCUE OF THE VIRGINIAS)
wrote to Andréa:
Cairn in Spotsva

Saw him on FB,
NOT on their pet list.
I'm stray hold
until June 7th. First come,
first serve.
They think he's
five years old.

On 8 June,
this came to the
CRUSA INTAKES LIST:

n/m around 5 years,
bladder stones,
came in with companion dog,
adopted immediately.
Has tested well with
humans/dogs/cats

On 9 June,
BJ Isaacs writes:

Katie Lindsay rescued Logan
from the Spotsylvania
Animal Shelter yesterday.
He does have bladder stones
and is in a lot of pain.
She has an appointment
with the vet today.

Katie writes:

Logan came into the shelter
as a stray with another Cairn
that he was clearly attached to.
The other one was adopted
immediately because he
didn't have any health issues.

We were lucky to get
to the shelter first out of all the
rescues that had shown interest.

He the sweetest guy ever!
Even feeling as badly
as he does, he is always
happy to have attention and love.
He is still adjusting to his
new home without his buddy

We see brief glimpses of
his love for life. He gets excited
when it's walk time,
but sits patiently while
waiting for his harness & leash.
He loves treats and resting
in the sun on the back deck.

Ph

We can't wait for him to feel better and enjoy life again.

Ph

On Monday, 12 June,
Logan is going to a
board-certified surgeon
because my vet was not sure
she could handle the complicated
procedure; one stone is quite far
into Logan's urinary tract.

He is going to Dr Stifler at the
Virginia Veterinary specialists
in Charlottesville. They have given
him painkillers & antibiotics.

Ph

I'm already feelin' better, thanks to the CRUSA folks who rescued me,
and I know I'll feel even better after Monday!
