I've had a really stressful two weeks . . .

The garages were supposed to have been erected this week.
The company had not been in touch with my site manager as requested,
and for two weeks I have not been able to contact the company.

I delved deep into everything about them.
I found out two of their sites are closed, one in 2020,
but they are still listed as branches on my 2025 paperwork.

Then out of sheer frustration I called the manufacturer of the garages.
The company I'm using claims to be the sole distributor for Hanson garages.
I asked the sales team if they had an issue
supplying the garages to Concrete Garages, Scotland.

Hanson Garages were very helpful;
they do not supply or fit to private residences in Scotland
and the company I'm dealing with is one of their customers
and their main installer in Scotland.

The girl I spoke to said she thought they were on a couple of weeks holiday.
I said I thought she might be right,
but even if it was a last minute decision to go on holiday,
she could have dropped me an email or
phoned my site manager a couple of days earlier,

She agreed I was right to be unhappy and she would send an email
for her to contact me asap. I also put a poor review on trustpilot.
I'm still stressed about it, but calming down a bit now.

And last night Ann & Mike returned from a trip to Scotland
to attend his son's wedding. On the way home,
they called in at Heatherbank Park to see what their house looked like,
as it hadn't arrived at the end of August when we were last up.

We knew the garage bases had been laid;
we'd been told that the road was going in on 15 September
and then our paths, steps, fences and patios.

Well, the road is still a muddy path, as are our drive and gardens;
no steps, no path, no fence. I'm so disappointed,
but I told Ann & Mike I'm not moving into a building site.

So it looks like November for our move.
I really wanted to be in for Christmas.
I am going to write a short story about the "stress-free move to a Park home"
for the Park home association and FaceBook.
By the time I get to move it may turn into a lengthy tome
equal to War and Peace.

I'm off for a g&t now to soothe the mind.
