HIGHLAND

Thank you; I needed a bit of cheering up . . .

The broadband man came; [he] said he wouldn't fit
the exterior box because they need to put in two new telegraph poles.
Could be 18 months or so. They have to wait till
all the building work is finished.

And on top of that disappointment, I have the dreaded flu;
worse than that, it's Scottish flu, so I'm feeling
a bit miserable at the moment. But as Tom used to say,
"I'm a Scot; I feel no pain."

Here is the 1 December wee coo . . .

. . . I will share [the rest] with Ann & Mike.

["COO" is not a typo; Page 27 will highlight
(pardon the pun) some of the words used in Scotland.]

I have been doing everything on my phone,
but I now have a mini-hub. It won't be very fast,
but the computer will work with it. I don't think I'll get much
in the way of streaming TV, but I'll try.

JACKIE

We've had a huge storm today.
The wind was so strong I had to fight to shut the front door.
Torrential rain again, both vertical & horizontal;
that's what comes of living half-way up a mountain.
