JACKIE'S IN SAN ANTONIO TUESDAY, 28 APRIL
We drove to San Antonio today, staying at the DRURY INN RIVERWALK, a converted commerce building. This is my home for three days . . .
I'm on the 18th floor; this is the first time I've been in a hotel where everyone wants high-level rooms. It's all about the view . . .
The Alamo . . .
We went to see the Alamo film last night, had a walk round town, a boat taxi ride . . . . . . and a pub crawl. We started in a Texas pub on the river and a Margarita - very nice.
	Then the tacos arrived, as did the ducks, sparrows & pigeons. We were ignoring them, so one duck nipped me in my leg; that got my attention. He was so cheeky; he walked back & forth, tapping Elaine & me on the leg and would take a crisp from our hand.
Next was an English Scottish pub; all the girls had on tiny kilts and were very pretty. We had a beer in this pub and proper English chips; very tasty.
