On 31 January, Jackie writes:
I have decided to go on holiday with my brother and his wife this year;
he has booked the flights, hired the car and rented the cottage.
I just have to be packed and ready to go.
He will drive us to the airport and drive us about on holiday.
He will also give me a shot of driving so I can come over
for another visit and drive myself.
Where are we going is Niagara Falls, Canada.
His wife wanted to go and I've never been so it seemed like a plan
and because he's hired a cottage,
I don't have to pay the single person supplement for a room.

I intend to visit Mare & Nick Moore while I'm there;
their holiday trailer is 2 to 3 hours from where we will be and
this will also give Mike & his wife some time to themselves.

Well, this journey of Jackie's has expanded somewhat:
I will be flying to Rochester, New York,
home of Christine & Tim Sheffer. Jackie will take the train from
Niagara Falls, Canada to Rochester, and we'll have some days together.
It'll be an International Airedale Mini-Meet.
(When I first came to the US, I lived in Pittsford, NY,
a city next to Rochester, in a house on the Erie Canal.
We may try to find that house [before Jackie comes] and
I'll get another look at the Erie Canal, 59 years later.)
