MOVING MISS FANCY TO ILLINOIS 5 JUNE 2010
Gayle Kiesow writes: During the first week of June, the Midwest CRUSA teams brought in six new Cairns and moved two from one home to another. This is the story of MOVING MISS FANCY.
Please meet Geri & Jim of Illinois who just this week became part of the CRUSA foster families and today accepted their first foster, Fancy, who was relocated from Jeff Martindale & Linda Duba's home in Wisconsin. Their work schedules were keeping them so busy that Fancy was not getting the attention they felt she deserved. Geri & Jim are retired; Fancy joins Cairn Beemer & c*t Harley in their home. CRUSA is lucky to have this wonderful family join us for the love of the Cairn breed.
Geri & Jim drove to Bloomington, Illinois to meet Holly Crotty & Beth Spitzer, who had met with Jeff & Linda in Chicago to move Fancy to southern Illinois. Welcome Geri, Jim, Beemer & Harley. We are thrilled to have you! Some background on Fancy: Fancy was a breeder dump to Dr T.; Bob brought her back from Dr T's in March, then took her up to the 2010 CHICAGOLAND PET EXPO [which can be seen HERE] with him. Lynette & Henry Henriksen came to Expo and took Fancy back with them to Duba/Martindale's. We had her for one night, very shy, scared to death and then the trip to Chicago and a new home . . . and that night we learned she was in heat. Yesterday when I saw her she seemed pretty good, not overly scared for all that was going on around her. With Jim & Geri taking her in, I bet we see her flourish before long at all.
