THE TRANSPORT BEGINS . . .

On 4 October, Gayle writes: Bob [Kiesow] said they met at an emergency vet clinic parking lot and the people came out to see what they might need, how they could help them, offering water, etc., realizing they were a rescue transport. How cool is that? Jackie & her niece at Collinsville, Illinois, after making the trip to & from Waynesville, Missouri. First-time foster Mike Carter rode with Bob from Morton to Collinsville and held baby Louie all the way home. Louie enjoyed chewing on Mike's nose and Mike did not mind that his arm fell asleep. Look at this face! Shannon, you're a lucky foster mom. Louie drinking from a water bottle cap and then the bottle. What goes in, must come out. Kevin & some of his new friends. Looks like a Cairn lover to me! Pretty good group, I would say. All the dogs were watered from both ends and back in their crates, with the Smith's heading for Wisconsin. A great day for yet another great transport. All these dogs seemed to be pretty happy, no obvious issues, a little heavy but bright-eyed. What more could you ask for?
