. . . AND ENDS . . .

From Andréa:

At 3 p.m., Kevin called to say they were about three hours from our meeting point . . . and I suddenly realized that I did not have any puppy food, never having had a puppy before!

I asked CRUSA List for advice - Nutro, Eukenaba - all available at our local PetCo. So I stopped in . . . reading ingredients of all these varieties of dog food. Having fed nothing but Innova for years, I hadn't realized just how MANY varieties of dog food there were.

Of course, the first three ingredients in all these are corn, wheat, chicken parts (you don' wanna KNOW which parts these are!), and the last ingredients are all preservatives and other chemicals . . . probably melamine, if it's produced in China.

So I'm walking up & down these aisles and there is Cesar Millan smiling at me with that silly grin he has. I may not always agree with his training methods, but I check out his puppy food anyway . . . ingredients look good to me, AND I get a free box of treats with cost half as much as a five-pound bag of food. Go figure.

OK. We're prepared . . . Kevin said Louie is "full of p*ss & vinegar, and trying to suckle on the females (dogs, that is)", so I tell our pack to get ready to give him some exercise & some discipline.

Kevin's daughter Heidi comes to meet her folks
& Foster Sophie. Here is their Cairn, Duke (Duker, The Dukester) . . .

Ph

. . . who loves to give kisses.

(When meeting unknown CairnRescueFolks,
a Cairn in the car or truck is a sure sign that
s/he is "one of us"!)

Next to arrive was Coleen Glaves, to pick up Dandy. Then a red VW Jetta ZOOMED into the parking lot - The Smith Rescue Transport had arrived!
