On Saturday, Holly Crotty will drive from Decatur, Illinois to Dr. Tolliver's office in Waynesville, Missouri, arriving around noon. Holly is picking up the following dogs:
Mary Kate
Will
Sean
Sarah
Lizzie
Mildred
Three pups (two are Mildred's pups; they're weaned)
Late-breaking news: Truman & Thatcher, two of the three pups, have been diagnosed with parvovirus. Their survival is in question; they will, of course, be staying with Dr. Tolliver for treatment.
In addition, we'll be bringing back two or three dogs for Peke/Chin Rescue for a total of 11 crates max.
Holly & 11 crates return to Decatur in the late afternoon.
Shell will meet Holly at her home in Decatur and pick up all SEVEN Cairns and drop off "Mommie", one of the saved Wisconsin auction dogs, for Holly to foster.
Shell will return to the Chicago area, arriving at the Hinsdale Oasis in the late evening. Bekye Walker from "New Beginnings" Rescue will meet her there.
Next stop . . . Agostino's Restaurant in West Chicago. Janice Polito will pick up her foster dog, Sean, here.
Shell will take home Mary Kate, Will, Sarah, Lizzie, Mildred & the ONE healthy pup.
On Sunday, FTA parents Betty Boyer & Debbie Scheuring come to Shell's home to choose Mary Kate, Sarah, Lizzie or Mildred to FTA.
On Monday, the FOUR remaining adult Missouri dogs fly from O'Hare Airport to Marybeth Rickel in Spokane, Washington, arriving at 10:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, the FOUR remaining Wisconsin auction dogs fly from O'Hare Airport to Marybeth, also arriving at 10:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, the Howenstine family come to Shell's house to finalize adoption of their puppy.
On Thursday, Shell rests.
