THE SAGA OF THE TEXAS 11+ CONTINUES 3 AUGUST 2018
Becky writes: We finally have had some time to take a breath and update everyone who has been following this saga. Both of the puppy mamas are in capable hands and are on puppy watch.
Callie, the Airedale, is with Rachael Y. a recent transplant from SWAT (SouthWest Airedale Terrier Rescue), and Carol Scott has offered to help her if needed. Barbara (now called Allie), the Airedoodle mom pictured, is with Sherry L., a sheltie breeder who has put up with my Airedales for years. Allie has gone from a puddle on the floor to being friends with her Shelties and wandering around the house.
The dogs who were the sickest, Dallas and Bertha, are now in foster homes and doing great. Anne Barlow has the rest at her kennel while we get them fully vetted and spayed and neutered. We have had numerous questions about adopting the puppies; they will not be ready to go until mid-November. We still need homes for the adults, who range in age from about 16-18 months to 2-1/2 years.
