FOSTER HOME NEEDED 21 NOVEMBER 2009

Paula writes: We do not know a lot about little Beau. When we took him in he was unsure of people and new surroundings, but he liked being with his new Airedale buddies. He was a sick little boy with a bad case of kennel cough or possibly canine flu, one eye that he kept closed and a wound on his neck that had abscessed. Over the past few weeks, he has been on the mend and is now coming out of his shell. Beau with Chris Olson, owner of Applewood Kennels We are looking for a foster home so we can bring out his Airedale spirit. He goes to his crate for security and likes to eat in the crate as well. He walks with a harness due to his neck injury and does very well with that.He has a very thick coat and it is obvious he has never been groomed. [To avoid stressing him further, he will not be groomed for some time, although he has been bathed.] OOF! What IS this crazy little thing called LOVE?! There's sure a lot of it goin' around. With the dogs being ill, classes at the kennels had to be canceled, and then her own dogs became ill, too! So GIVE THANKS to Chris & John . . . without them, ATRA could not have been able to take in so many all at once and cared for them all during their illness! Oh, look! An Airedale in a small dog suit!
