Herschel is a wonderful patient
Sherry writes:
Herschel went back to see Dr. McKee today for a checkup.
He is doing so well that staples are now out and he stayed at the clinic.
He actually starts his physical therapy this afternoon.
He will be there for a while.
Dr. McKee will call me later with all the important information.
Dr. McKee inspecting his "handiwork".
Herschel isn't too impressed at this very moment.
Aunt Judi took Herschel over for me today,
as I've been very, very sick this past week.
It is the Doc's day off, but he came in for Herschel's appointment . . .
being the special Airedale that he is!
So this is the big therapy stall?
This is it??? Where's MY FOAM BED?????? I'm not happy!
Just thought all of you would like to see what's going on with our boy.
I'm so going to miss him while he is over there,
but this is a very important step in his recovery.
Dr. McKee looking at his handiwork again.
Shoot, he should see some of mine around Mom's house!
The next phase of Herschel's recovery . . .
Personally, I wish I could be a fly on the wall as they are putting Herschel into this!

I just called to check on Herschel. He is doing great!
He went straight into the water treadmill today without difficulty.
Honestly, he is such a good boy and so willing to please!
Dr. McKee said that he is doing so well that he is seriously thinking
about putting him on the surgery schedule late next week
for his other hip. Keep those Aireprayers coming . . .
and please keep the donations coming, too.
Boarding is expensive!
I can't thank ANY of you enough for helping Herschel to walk again!
He is only half-way thru . . .
and his tail is wagging and he is smiling!
THANK YOU.
