HENRY-MY-HONEY
SILVER

Ph

Cheryl writes: "This picture of Henry My Honey was taken by someone who wanted to meet a rescue 'dale. Henry charmed them and now they have a rescue girl of their own. He charmed everyone."

"Henry on the deck, his first year with us. I estimate he was three years old when we rescued him. He was about 15 pounds underweight when he was adopted from the pound on July 14, 1994, but was looking much better here.

"Henry loved that sofa. After we got the leather couch, he took it over."

Henry was adopted on 14 July 1994. On 29 December 2000, he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. "My sweetest wooly boy; you are here in my heart always. I feel so sorry for those who never knew you. I was so lucky to have you in my life. I hope you have your own leather couch, pasta on demand, and that the days are always cool and crisp for you at the Bridge. Your mama loves you and misses you so very much."

OTHER MEMBERS OF THE SILVER GANG OF RESCUES

Ph

"Hank aka Hankster Prankster, my tri-color basenji, was a rescue. He had been deemed 'unadoptable'. He moved in and immediately blended into the gang. He is always in trouble (grin)."

Ph

"Katie Ruth, my red basenji mix girl, was a rescue who was relinquished because she 'doesn't get along with other dogs'. Go figure. She is a total cuddlebug."

Ph

"Leo my Love, my rescue Great Dane mix, is *very* food-motivated. He is a big baby who has caught ducks in the pond behind the house and carried them around, unsure about what to do with them, until told 'leave it', then he puts the poor mortified critters down, unscathed except for wounded pride, and walks away. The pan he is countersurfing had had sausages and hashbrowns in it."

Ph

"Gracie, aka Snuffy aka Graceless, whom I believe to be a reincarnation of Maria Callas - given her high-pitched bark. Gracie was also a rescue girl."
