THE TULSA TRIO

On Sunday, 29 June, Marilyn Doudt writes:

The Tulsa girls are doing fine. They are being vetted - shots, etc., in Tulsa and LUCY was spayed on Friday. All have very good personalities and are happy girls.

The puppies were born 12 March in a yard where mom was dumped the day before. The new owner kept them chained up until recently when they decided they didn't want mom and puppies.

Mom and puppies will be ready to go to Utah soon. The next plan will be transporting the girls from Oklahoma City to Salt Lake City to their forever homes that are waiting.

On 4 July, Marilyn reports:

Jan is home and she has mom over by her and the puppies are at a different foster home. Nicole posted to various lists to get volunteers for transport. Mom has had all shots, heartworm check (heartworm negative - YIPPEE), and she has been spayed. Puppies have had all shots and will be spayed in Utah once they get there. Wanted to wait as long as possible because they are so young.

I haven't heard if Nicole has enough volunteers to get them to her next weekend. Everyone would like to get the Tulsa Trio to Nicole and their forever homes as soon as possible. Mom & puppies all have excellent temperaments and will make wonderful family members.

GRAND TOTALS

As of 7 July, $878.00 was sent to Jan, and 212 'Danas and 23 "Home At Last" pins were sent to donors. Thanks, everyone, for again coming through to give Airedales Forever Homes!

On 20 July, they made it to Utah:

They are doing well. Nicole says they are all loves and doing very well. She thinks LUCY was loved at one time as she is very good in the house and very loving.

LUCY had to be kenneled, spayed and shots; puppies had all shots and will be spayed when old enough. They all are micro chipped. BETSY had the beginning of erlichea so had to have vetting for that also. Jan was quite concerned since BETSY wasn't doing well, but she made a quick recovery with antibiotics so she was ready for the transport.

On 1 August, Nicole writes:

It's been a little bit now and I wanted to update you on how fabulous The Tulsa Trio is doing. The girls have all gained weight (over ten pounds each) and are really showing spirit.

LUCY is a dream Airedale. She is ever so sweet and very willing to please. She seems to be able to adjust to everything rapidly and loves to wag that tail of hers. I just can't believe how wonderful she is. We take long walks in the evening and she is interested in everything. We are going to visit her new family this weekend as they are just dying to meet her.

BETSY & EMMA are doing really well. They are eating tons and are great to eat their vitamins. They have become quite the cuddlebugs and really enjoy lounging on the couch in the evenings while watching Animal Planet. It will still be a bit before I place them in homes as they had a little bit of a health issue that I want to make sure is all taken care of.
