THE GREAT REHAB BEGINS 26 MAY 2023
Patricia Y & Henry M brought Zooey, Bailey & six orchids . . . We then went to Clear Sky Club Haus nearby, which had opened during the pandemic; Jackie I joined us there for a lovely outdoor lunch. We returned to our house and the five dogs (who had been VERY GOOD DOGS while we were gone); Jackie gave me these two miniature orchids, to inspire me, no doubt . . . Photobombed by Neal Photobombed by SweeTea The foliage background is provided by one of the many Christmas cacti I've propagated since Jackie gave me the first one in December 2018 These two are Phalaenopsis, also known as moth orchids, a genus of about seventy species of plants in the family Orchidaceae. I've; always liked these delicate little orchids, rather than Cattleyas, a/k/a the "Queen of Orchids" or the "Prom Orchid," as they are commonly used in corsages. I won't know what the rehabbed orchids are until they bloom, so that's something to look forward to.
