RUBY FALLS

REDBUD TREE
2 OCTOBER 2025

PETS ARE THE NEW KIDS; PLANTS ARE THE NEW PETS

While awaiting an ALERT that Redbud FLAME THROWER
was back in stock, I saw this . . .

PLANTS

. . . with leaves that would turn
this color in Autumn
(and then fall off,
so it's another tree
that'll be a stick
thru the Florida winter;
the only deciduous trees
in Tarpon Woods) . . .

PLANTS

Its flowers will look like this . . .

PLANTS

And here she is,
asking to come into
her Forever Home . . .

PLANTS

This time, Neal didn't bother with Yellow Dolly
and bungee cords; he just slid the box through
the house and outside . . .

PLANTS

Opening the box,
I was concerned that it was
so droopy; then I remembered:
This is a WEEPING Redbud Tree . . .

PLANTS

The entire tree . . .

PLANTS

The leaves are already changing color . . .

PLANTS

BTW, if you are beginning to think I'm obsessed with these Redbud trees,
you're right; trees don't change color/drop off
here in Florida and I miss that. Also, I like the idea of flowers
in the Spring before the leaves bud out.
