I watched Midnight Cowboy on DVD, for the first time since the movie was released back in 1965. I liked the Dustin Hoffman character back then, and I still think it was his best performance. Astro isn't scruffy enough to be called Ratso (although that is an anagram of his name), so we settled on RICO. He answers to it fairly well after only a few days, and it seems to suit him, even though it is not very Gaelic!
On Sunday, 7 September, Eileen drove an hour north from Chicago to do a Home Visit . . . I've done Home Visits myself for Airedales, but never been "on the other side of the desk", so to speak.
And on Tuesday, Eileen called me with the great news that we'd been approved and Rico could stay with us as his Forever Home!
Isn't he just the sweetest "Little Man"?
