SAMMY IN FLORIDA

30 JUNE 2015

Ph

On 25 June,
Jackie Ike writes:

Why do people get rid
of the older dogs?
I'll never understand.
Is there any way to save him?

I contacted CRUSA INTAKES; BJ Isaacs told us to go for it, so we did.
Jackie contacted the Hillsborough County shelter where Sammy was being held.

After some grooming and being brought UTD on vaccinations and a heartworm test,
he was released to Jackie, who then brought him closer to me, for fostering.
(As I am still new to this area, she traveled closer to me so I wouldn't
have to travel too far in uncharted territory.
THANK YOU, JACKIE!).

Ph

So we agree to meet at The Shoppes of Boot Ranch . . .

Ph

it's a darn good thing she called and told me
she was waiting for me under the boot in the parking lot . . .

Ph

'cause the Garmin Lady was sending me past the address;

Ph

who knows where I'd have ended up??

Ph

Ph

WHO GIVES UP A
LOVELY DOG LIKE THIS,
JUST 'CAUSE HE'S
TEN YEARS OLD?!

I, of course, had made several
preparations at the house:
purchased another crate,
turned on the a/c in the garage,
put up the large wire crate
in the garge,
in case there were problems
between Sammy & Rico,
or any of the others,
altho Rico, being a male
concerned me the most.

Dear Fashion Police:
Yes, I know my flipflops
don't coordinate
with my outfit;
I forgot to change shoes
before I left the house.
I didn't know my
feet would be photographed.
Mea Culpa.

Ph

Well, I had a crate for him . . .

Ph

. . . but Sammy had other ideas,

Ph

One of which was that HE would drive . . .

Ph

(must be a MAN thang).

He sat calmly on the passenger seat for the ten-minute ride home;
it broke my heart that he got all excited when we left the highway.
Did he think he was going back home?
