NOW PLAYING: FLORIDAYS, by Jimmy Buffett (Instrumental Version)

I'm back to livin' Floridays
Blue skies and ultra-violet rays
Lookin' for better days, lookin' for better days
Lookin' for Floridays

I got him all prepared: into the big wire crate in a nice cool garage . . .
brought the others out one by one for a meet 'n' greet.

I soon found that had all been a waste of time, effort & electricity . . .

He reminds me a lot of ChrissiOneEye,
although he's in better condition and not snappish;
same body type and silky hair.

Sammy is housebroken (which is more than I can say for The Quartet);
very laid-back. He follows me around (just as Chrissi did);
eats just fine with the other dogs eating at the same time in the same area;
perhaps because his teeth hurt, he prefers canned food & small kibble.
The shelter indicated that he needs dental work and possibly some extractions;
we are going to our new vet clinic today (1 July) to see
what's going on in his mouth.
He already knows where the dogs' bathroom is and
how to tell me he needs to go there and when he wants back inside;
he's already barked at the lawn guy, so must be feeling at home.

Ph

We were told he was given up 'cause of his age;
also, that he doesn' like kids, so there is probably more
to his story that we'll never know. I think he's a great dog.

Ph

He slept well all night; as you can see, he has made himself at home
(that's Luuceee's harness he's wearing).
