MY BAGGAGE Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in my warm new bed. I'd like to open my baggage Lest I forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret. Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top - Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by my leash hide Fear and Shame. As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave - I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them, the others, the ones who left me, But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me. Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things And take me right back? Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, To never re-pack? I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see, But I do come with baggage - Will you still want me? -- Evelyn Colbath

GETTING SHELDON READY FOR HIS NEW LIFE ARE . . .
SUSAN HENDERSON & BOB CANNON ANITA CHAROCHAK CRUSA RESCUES SADEE, LEROY &JACK (@RB) SADEE is a CRUSA Rescue from May 2016. Read her Rescue story HERE SADEE continues to be a sweet even-tempered dog. At this time we are holding our own with eye drops, but I am still concerned she will lose the left eye. She is on a specially-compounded extra-strong dose of tacrolismus eye drops recommended by a veterinary ophthalmologist. LEROY is a CRUSA Rescue from May 2017. Read his Rescue story HERE LEROY has gained weight. He is now 40 pounds, but is not considered overweight by the vet. He loves the snow and wants me to hand-feed it to him. He is looking more like a Skye Terrier every day. He may need to have the left ear canal ablated and probably removal of his left ear. I am hoping it will not come to that. He has not had an ear infection for seven weeks. He is on Apoquel, as is SADEE.
