Today, I developed an ear infection, stopped diving and
started using antibiotic ear drops in hopes of clearing it up.
I consulted a doctor on 3 June, who told me I had an infection
behind the eardrum and needed to stay out of the water.
That meant the diving part of my next dive trip was over.
I have travel insurance and decided that getting some of my money back
was better than being stuck on a boat for 11 days
with nothing to do but watch other people having fun.
I have some photos from the Anumana hotel and
the Paradiso, as well as of a meal with part of the group.
[Getting a flight back from wherever he was turned out to be difficult,
but not impossible. When he finally got home to Wisconsin,
he also had a bad cold and was just glad to get some
medication and sleep.]
