SNIKKERS AT HOME 7 JULY 2009

Samantha writes: Snikkers is doing great. He is becoming more & more relaxed each day. He is doing better with Oscar every day, too; he will stare at Oscar at times but other than that, he's behaving well. As big as Oscar is, little Snikkers has him worried. We have been picking him up and putting him on his back and telling him 'I don't like that'. But every day they both get along better. Here's the little guy looking out my window. He is so curious. He has been sleeping with my younger sister & me. He's snoozing next to me right now. We set up Oscar's old crate (which could hold two Cairns) and filled it with a down blanket and he has your blankie for him in there too. He will take a toy and relax in the crate every so often, but he sleeps with us at night. He is a cuddlebug. I took this picture today. We went walking through Thorncraig, a bird sanctuary in our city. He walks very well; we passed two Boston terriers and he didn't bark. He is an absolute joy and we're all in love with him. We are so impressed with his balance and his ability to stand on his hind legs. He's our first Cairn to do this. We're just in love. It makes me sick to think of him running in the streets. You were right about this little boy - he is special. He loves & misses his foster mom & dad, but thanks you. Here's the little boy resting on the car ride home after meeting my mother's parents. He played outside all day.
