The nameless waif is being neutered and HW tested at the vet where he was (thanks to ATRA folks), then coming home to Shelley & Paul Joyce on Friday evening.

Later that morning, Shelley writes:

Thanks to you and your [Airedale] group . . . couldn't have found him a home without you. Paul & I have gone over names, names and more names . . . then picked & deleted until we were down to two. Drumrolllllllllll . . . and the names are either Dalton or Frazier. Can't be sure until I pick him up and meet that sparkling personality.

HERE's where things get a little spooky:

On 13 November, 11:45 p.m., Shell Lewis emails me to ask if I can I do a home visit a few blocks from my house for an application on . . . Angel . . . who happens to be the dog currently with Shelley & Paul Joyce. Now, this application was put in waaaaaaay before we knew we would need their home for our nameless waif. Is this Kismet? Fate? Good luck?? Or Good KARMA brought on by the cooperation between our Rescue Organizations? You decide . . . .

Shel called me on her way home tonight after she picked him up; she named him Frazier and I am thrilled that he is safe & sound with Cairn rescue!

Shel writes:

I picked him up and his official name is Frazier. We arrived home about 6 p.m. He was introduced to Angel and our other four boys (ranging from 19 pounds up to 115 pounds). The trasition was great. It is now 7:10 p.m. and he is wandering the house with all five canines and two felines.

He is friendly & very playful but of course, limited due to being neutered this a.m. And for some reason, the vet said he was a bleeder, so bed rest & confinement for this evening are a must.

He has been outside and walks great on a leash and does deck stairs with no problem. Whoever lost or threw him away are fools. He will be an excellent companion for a special family. He gets along great with cats and since we have five grandsons . . . it will be interesting as to how he adjusts . . . let you know later. Thanks again for letting me assist in giving this little guy a forever home . . . he deserves it!

We at CRUSA thank all those in Airedale Rescue who helped save FRAZIER!
