HEATHER IS GROOMED

16 NOVEMBER 2013

Ph

I couldn't stand the puppymill smell
and the greasiness of her fur,
so I made an appointment to have
Heather groomed at House of Faison,
where the Skrenninger Quartet
goes to be beautified.
Luckily, Jean had a last-minute
cancellation, or Heather wouldn't have
gotten in 'til 6 December!

Ph

CairnDaddy's last words to her were:

Ph

You'll feel SO MUCH BETTER after you've been to the hairdresser, believe me!

Two hours later (there was a lot of washing & clipping to be done)
Jean called to say that Heather was ready to go home
AND was wagging her tail!
Frankly, it was hard to know that she HAD one,
as she kept it so tight under her tummy it was practically touching her nose.

Ph

Sure enough, a few tail wags . . .

Ph

. . . some interest in toys . . .

Ph

. . . a cut-up treat & a small snack of duck . . .

Ph

. . . and she was ready to go home, a completely different dog.

Ph

Jean donated her services to CRUSA, for which we thank you, Jean!

At home, a place on the couch was waiting for her . . .

Ph

Ph

. . . of which she is now taking full advantage . . .

Ph

. . . keeping CairnDaddy company as he works on his
Galapagos Trip photos (which can now be seen HERE)

17 November:

What to my wond'ring eyes did appear this morning,
but Heather sleeping on the couch . . . where she got up all by herself!
This is now her preferred resting spot,
where she can get skritches and treats with all the others.
CairnDaddy was right, she says.
