Neal from LAX: Baggage was a mess - PA system was saying carousel 2 (about four flights), but the bags had been dropped at carousel 4. Fortunately, a teenager came over and told her parents and I overheard. There's been a ton of remodeling (they were working on it when we were through in '95 and '96), but you still have to push a cart down the street to get to the international terminal (and at street level is arrivals . . . you have to go up a level for departure). So now a long flight over the ocean, a three-hour layover in Nandi and then a long one at Nausori Airport . . . I hope I can get out of the airport for a while.
