CRUSA Rescue Zooey was attacked by a neighbor's dog;
Patrica writes:

I am still in shock. Zooey was attacked inside our fence this afternoon.
I heard the two dogs behind us barking and my three took off
to bark and run the fence. Zooey started screaming and I took off.
Her right leg was i between our fence and a 4x4 that Henry
had put on the ground to keep our dogs from digging out.
The neighbor dogs still try to dig under, but we thought it was subsiding.

We rushed Zooey to our vet. You can see the pictures [below].

The neighbors swear their dogs weren't in the yard to do this.
I have run my fingers and hands under and over the fence
where I found Zooey''s hair and skin.
No nails, splinters or anything sharp that could cause this damage.

Zooey also has a dislocated elbow and fractured toe.
What caused the marks on her foot???!!!
What do I do? I didn't see it. I heard it.
Of course the ground [now] is smooth, but soft and covered with leaves,
although I can feel soft sand where it happened.

I know people lie, no way to prove the dogs were there,
and I know this family can' t afford and would never help
with the $2000 it cost us [so far],
but I don't want this to ever happen again.
I am so tired of worrying about my dogs' safety and what
my neighbors are doing or not doing with their dogs

So so sad and disillusioned with humanity.

Here are her pictures. Lisa, Max's vet, is helping me
make sure Zo's elbow is set correctly.
So upset; dogs are traumatized, too.
Could not see any sharp edges or nails that could cause this damage.
So glad Lisa is helping me with medical side.
