ANGEL HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME 26 SEPTEMBER 2018
On 12 September, Peggy writes: Ms. Angel, a/k/a Pistol Pete, was a bit too much for JB; he was hiding from me and her. She became more . . . bossy . . . as her time in the home increased.
CRUSA contacted SUNSHINE STATE WESTIE RESCUE, assuming that this rescue organization would have many more Westie applicants than we would.
She was placed with a FOSTER TO ADOPT home in Ft. Myers; a couple who each worked part-time on different days and has had Westie experience for 41 years. NO other pets. Angel has to be in heaven. She was getting so fluffy on the diet you set up for her. On 26 September, Aggie Latyak of SUNSHINE STATE WESTIE RESCUE writes: I wanted to share the good news that Angel has found her forever home. I had a feeling that Susan & Robert in Ft. Myers would fall in love with her. She moved in and took over home and hearts. She's a happy, loving angel . . . without other dogs around. Thanks for letting us help with her. CRUSA thanks SSWR for helping us get this darling girl to her new home! PATRICIA YARNOT: She finally found her furever home! This is great news. Thank goodness for those dog lovers who can only have one dog. PEGGY COLLINS: Been thinking a lot about that little Westie! I am so grateful for the new parents!!! BJ ISAACS: Woohooooooooo!!!!! So happy for them all. Thank you so much for taking her!
MY BAGGAGE Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in my warm new bed. I'd like to open my baggage Lest I forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret. Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top - Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by my leash hide Fear and Shame. As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave - I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them, the others, the ones who left me, But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me. Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things And take me right back? Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, To never re-pack? I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see, But I do come with baggage - Will you still want me? -- Evelyn Colbath
