Linda writes:

Buster went to Dr. Bruce Hansen
the dermatologist on 11 April.
Dr. Hansen was very pleased
with Buster2's results so far.
The skin is getting a lighter gray &
softer; the hair is coming in slowly,
but it IS coming in.
He did another skin & ear cytology,
which did show some yeast- &
bacterial-infected areas.

His back legs are going
to take the longest
in coming in with
the new growth,
as the vet said that Buster2
did chew on these areas
and do some damage,
but the hair will come back.

We are to continue Buster2 on the one-quarter tablet
Nizoral 200mg for 20 more days, then one-half tablet three times weekly.
Also Clindamycin 75mg, 1 capsule twice a day for 17 days.
I will continue with the baths twice a week with the Malaseb shampoo
and apply Chlorhexiderm Mousse on the crusted areas,
which are mostly on the back legs.

He goes back in two months for a re-check.

Buster will be going to his new foster home on 14 April.
He will be fostered by Nancy & Tom Walsh,
who have adopted two CRUSA dogs, Teddy & Lola.
Teddy passed away in 2010 from cancer.
They also have Max, a male Westie.

BACK LEGS

Buster2's new pictures were taken this AM;
you can see that he has come a long way.
I will take pictures of Buster2 with his new foster family.

Again, a BIG Thank You to everyone who
has helped Buster2 with his skin issues.

Buster2's vet bill for the day was $235,
which included the meds, scraping & mousse.
This makes his total $675.00;
there are likely more bills in his future.

NEAL SKRENES:
Amazing progress - there's hope for almost full recovery!
Hope the same can happen for CoCo.
