Remember puppy mills? Remember how many dogs CRUSA rescued from puppy mills?

It's been many years since CRUSA has dealt with puppy mills,
so imagine my dismay when Shell Lewis writes:
There is a mill outside of Hancock, Illinois; the miller passed away,
leaving approximately 40-45 breeder dogs.
The county and multiple rescue groups have been involved.
I'm still trying to sort it all out, but I am taking these four dogs.
All have ACA registration and the Cairns are listed as Norwiches.
They sure look like Cairns to me.

These dogs are currently in Peoria getting vetted thru WRMO
(Westie Rescue of Missouri); $150 for everything
including neuters/spays.
Samantha has badly infected ear and mammary masses to be removed.
They'll be moving up to me on Saturday and going
directly to Animal House and board there for a few days.
I want Dr. Ammon to assess them (and he doesn't charge for wellness exams);
I want to be there for that.
Next week, I'll start dispersing them to foster homes.
